Environment

This picture is of my friend Ellie hanging from a bridge over a river. The environment doesn't exactly pertain to WHERE she is but HOW she is. She is a lot of fun and super adventurous so I felt this truly captured her personality.

Portraits

Split Lighting:

This portrait is my least favorite because of how unnatural the pose is and how poorly the lighting (split) hits her face. I had other shots of her on different sides of this tree and in different poses but because of how dark her upper eye makeup was and how the sun hit her face all the others looked like her eyes were closed completely.

Split Lighting:

This portrait is easily my favorite simply because of how amazing her eyes looked without any editiing and how subtle and warm the split lighting looks on her. One thing I would probably change about this portrait would be to stand a little farther back from her and then crop it later if it needed it.

Rembrant Lighting:

This one isn't my favorite but not awful I guess. I like how the light hits her face in a noticeable, yet not harsh way. One thing I would change about this photo would be to have her sitting on a real wooden bench and to not have the shaddow from the pier behind her.
