Demeter and the four seasons Greek myth series

Demeter is intimately associated with the seasons. Her daughter Persephone was abducted by Hades to be his wife in the underworld. In her anger at her daughter's loss Demeter laid a curse on the world that caused plants to wither and die, the land became desolate. Zeus became alarmed and sought Persephone's return. However, because she had eaten while in the underworld Hades had a claim on her. Therefore, it was decreed that Persephone would spend four months each year in the underwold. During these months Demeter greves her daughters absence, and withdraws her gifts from the world, creating winter. Her return brought the spring.

WINTER
This one was the most challenging piece of my series obviously because it is currently spring so getting a wintery feel was rather hard to achieve. I angled the picture up so i wouldn't get any green trees but it ended up making her look squatty and I added small dodged dots to look somewhat like snow.
SPRING
This one was frustrating also because it was the last scene I shot and my models weren't both in character in many shots and it was getting dark. I like how many buds there are on the trees but I feel like it almost distracts the eye from what's supposed to be going on. I tried to show the reuniting of the two and a new season springing up!
SUMMER
This shot is my favorite because of how rich the green looks and how relaxed and natural looking my models look. I tried to make Kayla (aka Demeter) look older and more mother-like but it was challenging because Tori (Persephone) is a bit taller than her.
FALL
The height problem was an issue again in this photo because they look the same height and look more like sisters than mother-and-daughter. I like that the leaves are everywhere still but, again, I think the detail might take away from the scene...but I am often overly critical of myself so I guess we'll see what the class thinks?..
